Autonomous spherical recovery systems in Earth orbit
THE ORBITAL CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Waste is a design failure. Orbit requires a lifecycle.

The long-term opportunity extends beyond debris removal: a functioning system in which orbital objects are mapped, prioritised, recovered, reprocessed and returned to use.

A future operating model in five layers

Each layer builds on the one below it. Orbital ReGenesis is beginning at the intelligence layers—where every later capability starts.

LAYER 5

Resource Redistribution

Returning useful materials, components and services to orbital operations.

LAYER 4

Orbital Processing

Repair, disassembly, material separation, component harvesting and recycling.

LAYER 3

Autonomous Intervention

Inspection, stabilization, capture, relocation and transport.

LAYER 2
STARTING HERE

Recovery Intelligence

Prioritisation, mission screening, ownership analysis and economic evaluation. The domain of ReGenesis Atlas.

LAYER 1

Orbital Awareness

Mapping, tracking, classification and data confidence.

THE FULL LOOP

A closed cycle, not a clean-up

In a functioning orbital circular economy, the output of one stage becomes the input of the next. Objects stop being liabilities the moment a defined pathway exists for them.

The loop begins with awareness and intelligence—software—and closes, over time, with processing and redistribution infrastructure.

CONCEPTUAL ARCHITECTURE

The Spherical Systems Concept

Orbital ReGenesis envisions smaller autonomous spherical vehicles mapping defined orbital regions, identifying recoverable objects and supporting capture or transport operations.

Larger spherical systems could eventually serve as orbital processing, repair, refuelling, manufacturing and traffic-coordination centres positioned across strategic orbital environments.

Long-term conceptual architecture — requires extensive engineering, regulatory and economic validation.

SCOUT-CLASS

Smaller spheres: regional mapping, identification, capture support.

PROCESSOR-CLASS

Larger spheres: processing, repair, refuelling, manufacturing, coordination.

The lifecycle has to be designed. Join the design.
